Nano-print makes a grand entrance at Eastern Print Pack ‘09, Kolkata

The NANO-PRINT needs little introduction. This marvel of engineering has caught the screenprinting world's attention and has charmed its way into the hearts of those who have come in contact with it. The only thing remaining was to launch it formally. And what better place to do that than in Kolkata at the Eastern Print Pack Exhibition.

The stage was set. Market studies revealed that there was a good demand for a small size low-budget printing machine that could deliver being Micro-embossing via Screen Printing. The Way Ahead Most of the offset printers were apprehensive about looking at new machinery considering them to be a huge investment. After all, margins are low and survival matters more than making a profit in today's tough times. However, when they saw the results of what was possible using Screen Printing, they looked at it as an opportunity where Screen and Offset could subsist side-by-side and growth was indeed inevitable. Well, Nilesh Enterprises – representative for Grafica Flextronica – certainly thought so. And so Kolkata became the launch pad to India's smallest automated screen printing machine.

A Warm Welcome

Every aspect of the machine was demonstrated to delegates at the convention with several types of varnishes being printed. The inks were cured using the 12” Table-Top UV Curing Machine specially designed for NANO-PRINT. Of course, creativity is Grafica and DMI's forte and they displayed different designs that can be printed using this machine – the biggest hit being Micro-embossing via Screen Printing.
