Day 2: Pre-Press & Color Management

• Understand Photoshop, Illustrator, Coreldraw in details
• How to handle your files correctly using the above software's and achieve proper color consistency
• How achieve the exact color as per the image shown in the monitor (What you see is what you get)
• Understanding monitor calibration and lighting conditions
• How to color correct and sharpen the image to achieve sharp print results
• How to create ICC profiles of your CMYK inks manually and by using ICC profiling equipment
• Understanding LAB, RBG and CMYK in details
• What is the correct workflow right from your RGB to CMYK conversion using Photoshop, Illustrator and Corel Draw to achieve the desired color
• How to use the ICC profiles in the right way using various software so that the colors do not change in the final print
• How to output the positives and what are the parameters to achieve the right colors
• Understanding dot gains and how to compensate in the software and on the press
• What is the use of Reflection Densitometer and Transmission Densitometer and what is the importance of these tools and how to use these effectively in production
• Understand image setter function and importance of using Harlequin Precision Screening to get the correct image resolution and sharpness

Day 3: Practical Halftone Screen Printing

• How to achieve the desired results as per the proof using the reflection densitometer
• What is the correct squeegee pressure, angle and speed and how to set it practically
• Understanding various types of flood bars and how it directly reflects the final print results
• What is the advantages of UV Inks in screen printing
• Understand how UV Inks is convenient and economical in compare to solvent inks system in long term

TRAINING FEES: Per Person:

Rs. 3,500.00 (Grafica Customer)
Rs. 7,000.00 (Non Grafica Customers)

The above mentioned fee for DMI includes:

• Print Samples
• Hotel Accommodation for 2 nights 3 days in K T Hill Resort on twin sharing basis (If you require single accommodation then please let us know in advance to book your room accordingly, difference of room charges will be paid by you directly at actual)
• Breakfast, lunch, dinner and transfers (to & fro between hotel & DMI)
• Transfers inclusive from Mumbai Domestic Airport to DMI and back on the first and last day (RSVP)
• Less Rs.1000.00 per person if hotel accommodation and transfers not required
  

PAYMENT TERMS:

• All payments should be in favor of DMI, payable at Mumbai by Demand Draft before 10 days from the date of workshop

OTHER FACILITIES:

• For transfers between Airport & DMI on the first & last day. The vehicle on the first day shall leave airport sharp at 9:00 am toward DMI. So attendees are requested to be on time (before 9:00 am) or else you will have to make your own arrangements.
• For local customers we also have free bus pickup from Vasai (E) station to DMI.
