Training program on Screen Printing, Colour Machine
Date: 23rd Dec 2007
Continuing with its commitment to provide training, DMI organized one day orientation programme on 23rd December 2007 on screen printing for 25 personnel of Pune based Keetronics India (P) Ltd. Interestingly, the group was led by Rajesh Kulkarni, Managing Director who himself attended the programme whole day. As part of the training programme, DMI’s Director Bhargav Mistry conducted the theory class and showed practical aspects of screen making process, printing, colour matching etc.
Commenting at the end of the programme, Mr Kuklarni said : “It is good that DMI is conducting such a wonderful training programmes for screen printers. I happened to travel all over the world, there are many tech experts available abroad, but it is my experience that one has to shell out several dollars to get such training (some 100 dollar per hour even). We as users of technology whenever problem arises in our machines we have to depend on consultants to whom we have to pay hefty charges. In may opinion DMI is a great boon for lower end screen printers who can avail of such an advanced training here which is otherwise not available in India”.
Replying to a question as to how DMI will help the screen printing industry, Mr. Kulkarni said, “Definitely, DMI will educate the masses and it will create more and more technical experts in screen printing. I learnt the art of screen stretching at DMI. I liked the professional approach here. On the contrary DMI should have more branches or at least one more”.

Feedback of other participants from Keetronics:
DMI explains all about screen printing with all technical aspects very minutely, but due to lack of time the learning process seem to be a short one. However, we learnt screen making and exposing process at DMI. Since we are into polyester printing, we would like to learn more about such type of printing techniques.
